Tasting notes – A beautifully smooth and elegant wine showing classic cedar and chocolate notes, with age it becomes very smooth and displays black pepper, tobacco and graphite nuances.

It is well structured with ripe tannins, complemented by a silky mouthfeel and a long, lingering finish. A very aromatic Pauillac with great complexity.

The vineyards of Batailley today comprise about 60 hectares,dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon. Batailley is the flagship of thefamily Castajaand Borie-Manoux. The name is derived from a battle fought on this territory during the 100-years war in the 14th century.
