Tasting Notes: Rich cassis and ripe cherry fruit flavours are layered against complex secondary notes of tobacco, star anise and black
pepper. The finish is savoury and the tannins are velvety and perfectly balanced against the weight of fruit.

Food: Serve with game, red meat dishes in sauce, as well as fish cooked with red wine.

It should be served at room temperature between 18°C and 20°C depending on the season.

Ageing: 18 Months in French Oak

Chateau Ksara is Lebanon’s oldest winery. Its traditions can be traced back to1857 when a group of Jesuit monks acquired the property. The Jesuits applied their knowledge of science and agriculture to plant French vines as well as developing two kilometers of Roman caves that proved ideal for the storage of wine.

The Jesuits sold the winery to its current owners in 1973. Ksaraisnow the most modern winery in the region as well as the largest producer in the country.

Bordeaux-Rhone blend, created in 2000 to celebrate the beginning of the new century. Full-bodied, resonating with red and black fruit and liquorice. Can benefit from being laid down for aging – especially the younger vintages – or drunk immediately.
