Vignamato, Marche Rosso Piceno, Italy
£11.95 incl VAT + Delivery
Vignamato, Marche Rosso wine production has been in the Ceci family since the 1940s when Umberto Ceci bought vineyards in San Paolo di Jesi in order to produce Verdicchio.
In the 1950s, Amato, Umberto’s son, and his wife increased production by acquiring new land and bottling their own wines. In 1992 Amato’s son Maurizio and his wife Serenella invested in a modern winery, which they called Vignamato, with the objective of producing highquality wines, both white and red.
Today the family’s commitment to their business continues, with Umberto’s great-grandchildren, Alessandra and Andrea, also involved in wine production. There are only three hectares planted for this wine in a vineyard with a south-east exposure at 250 meters above sea level.
