Tasting Notes
This wine demonstrates the essence of Hawkes Bay Syrah: masses of black fruits, a touch of pepper, some meatiness and lovely,
savoury oak. Beautifully structured palate, medium to full bodied with masses of mid-palate fruit and a long finish.
This Select Vineyards Syrah comes from a new block planted by Coopers Creek in a steep, north-facing limestone amphitheatre.
The ripest fruit from the top of the hill is selected for this bottling. The small amount of Viognier also came from the same block.
